Our Little Muenster

Adding a new member to our cheesy little family!

The calm before the storm

The aforementioned nausea continued through about week 18 of my pregnancy. By the beginning of September the constant queasiness became more nuanced and manageable. I was able to distinguish between hunger-nausea, heartburn-nausea, overfull-nausea, and adjust my behavior accordingly. And by the end of September, it was pretty much gone completely. Now, I only get the minor nausea when I get hungry. So small meals and constant snacking keep it under control.

So things are pretty great now! I'm not so big as to be unwieldy, not feeling sick, and still have enough energy to be productive. I can't seem to get out of bed on less than 8-9 hours of sleep per night, but hey. I'll take it.

I was feeling a few little flutters as early as 14 weeks, but Muenster just started to really kick at week 22. On our little "babymoon" trip to Seattle, Neil was even able to feel it bumping around. It's simultaneously exciting, fun, distracting, and really strange. Muenster seems more active at nighttime or when I'm working quietly at my desk. It will be fun to see how the movements change as Muen (and I) get bigger.

I'm about 25 weeks now. I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow, and then my next one will be in my 3rd Trimester!
